Just saw this and 1) Chewy Decimal System? I love it! 100% on board. 2) Question: where would items that can be under multiple categories go? Butter is a bread topping, but also an animal product and a baked good ingredient as well as a lubricant, so where would it go in the chewy decimal system.

One of the local high schools near my work did a walk out and the students are protesting just outside the school. Good! Proud of them!

Currently, my gender is cough drops, a receipt for my replacement library card, my library card, and rose scented chapstick. This is not counting my teacher apron. I'll post that once I have had a chance to go through it.

Just for fun, whatever is in your pockets/purse/backpack/etc. is now your gender (if you have everything there, then pick 5 of those things). What is your new gender?

So what will I be doing this weekend. I'm printing out and laminated "know your rights" cards in Eng and Spa for my families so they can take as many as they need. I do everything I can, because every drop in the bucket counts.

The first of what will sadly be many, concerned parent spoke to me. Those who know me know the type of program I work for and the people that we serve. I had to put on a brave face, a confident smile and a sure voice even as my heart pounds in fear as I tell this parent that we will whatever we can.

Well Luna's first rain. At first she was excited by it, but she soon realized that if the outside is wet, so is she and is now no longer a fan.

At a family gathering and...it's different. In the past, there would have gossip and re-telling of stories from long ago. Now, no more than 30 min pass without hearing some sort of concern about ICE. So, if anyone thinks I'm overreacting, I will probably punch them.

Before going to sleep, I must share this wonderful side-eye Luna gave me because I pulled the sheets she was on to straighten them so I can go to bed.
