Ghost is shirtless. Gloves, mask, shoes removed. Soap's eyes traces Ghost's tattoos as he ashes his cigarette out the window, his scars as Ghost drops his hand to press a thumb into the bruises on Soap's ankle. Soap's eyes blink in time to the emergency lights flashing by outside
The continuation of the last comic! Soap is at his checkup for his leg. Two weeks have passed since Ghost has been declared MIA, presumed KIA Doc: "Your leg looks good, Sergeant MacTavish! We'll keep the brace off and you can return to light duty in the morning but make sure you keep using the crutches. You should really get some more sleep as well. And I hear you haven't been eating enough, that needs to change. Doctor's orders." Soap looks very tired. Gaz bursts through the door Gaz: "SOAP!"
Soap: "I'm not in the mood, Gaz.." Gaz: "He's back" Soap: "..What?" Gaz: "Ghost. They airlifted him in an hour ago, he's in medical. He's alive, mate. Let's go" Soap stands Doc: "Now just wait a minute-"
Soap and Gaz are running down the hall Doc: "Your crutches-" Soap: "They found him??" Gaz: "He found them, apparently. Crazy bastard dragged himself to a nearby outpost, I'm not sure what happened" Doc (at medical): "I'm sorry Sir but I can't let you through. Only authorized personnel and family beyond this point-" Soap: "I'm his HUSBAND. I'm listed as his next of kin, you can check his file. Now MOVE and tell me what I need to know"
Doc: "R-right! He's in room 208" Gaz, staying behind: "Good luck!" Doc: "The team on-site was able to stop his bleeding but we were told he coded once during surgery. He's recovered enough to be moved at his request. He has several fractured ribs, a hemothorax and multiple lacerations. He should make a full recovery but he's being monitored just to be safe. We had to lightly sedate him since he kept trying to get up and leave." Soap: "that sounds like Ghost, alright" Doc: "You're "Johnny", I assume?" Soap: "Yea, I am.." Soap begins to open the room door Soap: "Thanks, doc" Doc: "Right! I'll leave you-" The door slams Doc: "...to it"

Was thinking earlier about ghoap’s very real power imbalance bc of their ranks and how serious it really would be, and just,,, mmmyes.

He has to twist his head further aside as Soap presses the line of his body flush with Ghost's own, a soft hum of protest pressed beneath his ear. Fingers burned shiny pink. "They'll hear what they want," Ghost reiterates. Warns.
"Helpless little grunt begging his CO for some special treatment?"
Ghost has to steady himself, tries to keep his eyes up and away, still resolutely scanning their surroundings over the top of Soap's ruffled hair, the close edge of his temple. Shakes his head ever so slightly.
He has that look in his eye again. Insolent. A toddler reaching out for the searing stovetop. "And what would they hear, eh?"
His lids are lowered when he presses in, dark half moons flicking up and down Ghost's features, lightly parted lips curling up sharp at the corners.
that doesn't make it acceptable in the eyes of King and Country.
Soap of course only leans in closer, inhaling Ghost's second hand smoke like he was intending to shotgun it before Ghost had let it out on a gruff sigh.
