Maybe if there’s a park out front or a public parking lot, you can feed them there? Nobody can tell you not to be in public and feed them.

The apartment can’t tell you not to put up a bird feeder- Even if hand-feeding isn’t allowed anymore.

But Blitz is grown, he needs the freedom and his work to be a whole person

The only things Blitz ALWAYS has on him are his flintlock and his mother’s brooch/pendant.

Something tells me Stolas understood that pendant to be significant and he didn’t tie the magick to it out of respect for what felt sacred

But the /flintlock is how Blitz protects *himself from harm on jobs

I had a bunch of that in a couple other threads but the idea of Stolas having enchanted Blitz’s flintlock TOTALLY breezed by me- Of course he would have!

Magick needs a tether to be effective long-distance and Stolas still has to yknow, do daily life

And Blitz’s freaky red ass is into it, thinks it’s hot, but they also finally have a real conversation abt why they both fucked up so bad+ how they need to talk to each other if this is gonna have a shot in hell of working

And their penultimate love language /is sex so yknow

Like, Stolas admits to voyeurism basically, and Blitz hears ‘I cared so hard I totally violated your privacy and tbh? Also I wish I was in the room violating /you’

Clash of personalities that forces them to at least acknowledge ‘We’re so different, but that doesn’t change loving you’

& that’s gonna be Stolas’s first healthy fight w/ a man who’s not abusive or out to be cruel but who IS totally abrasive+ tone deaf bc he’s just a thickheaded imp w/ severe PTSD

Of spying in Blitz, specifically, and that when he’s forced to cop to it Blitz is going to react in such a chill, horny way that Stolas is gonna have whiplash given how /he reacted to Blitz admitting Striker tried to kill Stols twice and Blitz didn’t warn him after the first one

Instead if Stolas babying and infantilizing him by literally babysitting a grown man

I think the grimoire is constantly with Stolas. He’s bound by bloodline+ magick to his work& that’s part of what we’re about to find out in S3 with Via’s arc, but we can for sure say Stolas at least made a point

So Ozzie’s as the catalyst to start backing off for Stolas, then SS as his whole new understanding of Blitz and his relationship with his own daughter

AND Stolas deciding on his own time to start actively pursuing a relationship based on trusting Blitz to be capable and have his own autonomy-

Seeing Stars is the first time since Ozzie’s that we see Blitz confronting his emotions instead of running, and Stolas gets to feel supported, protected and wanted by Blitz while they search for Via and Blitz does what he does better than anyone in Hell- Look after his loved ones

There’s subtle foreshadowing, then there’s not showing OR telling your audience and making a major plot point seem totally out of Left Field

BUT! From TS onwards, we have this hint Stolas is falling too hard too fast, and Blitz is scrambling to get out of the way before he does

That’s an overt nod to us viewers bc the writers were acknowledging that they were a little /too soft with the breadcrumbs and Stolas using the grimoire to secretly protect Blitz wasn’t hinted at obviously enough we could catch it

Hell, in M0 Blitz does that funny little bit where he checks his body over when Stolas says ‘I see right through you Blitzy’

TS literally explains the entire narrative (someday I’ll do that analysis thread XD) in my opinion, and when Stolas shows up and says ‘I have my ways’ he’s telling us in the audience he /does watch over his lover

But after the scene in the van where Blitz is clearly upset& plainly states what they have is just sex for favours, Stolas starts to shift his approach

The problem is neither of them know wtf to do with big, complex feelings and Stolas is so inexperienced compared to Blitz, and Blitz is so damaged

And he’d be right, no matter how good his intentions were, BUT there’s also the disconnect where Blitz is pushing Stols away- Which, up until Ozzie’s, Stolas could ignore and handwave off as Just Blitz Being Blitz! Haha! Cutie!
