Dems won’t move right, but will focus on issues that impact the most people. To your original point, affordable housing/food/healthcare benefits everyone without having to focus on specific people. I have mixed feelings on Newsome. I think some of the criticism is unfair, but he’s not in my top 5.

I’ve always believed there were about 10% of people on each end of the spectrum. MAGA may have proven the extreme right is more like 20-30%. The extreme left will find a reason not to vote, and honestly I don’t think a candidate that fully appealed to them has any chance in a general.
