😭
through a series of events involving a watercolor class, I think I'm about to get into bookbinding 😅
A partially-finished drawing of a raccoon looking at the camera on grey toned paper. The left side of the face is partially complete and four coloured pencils lie on the paper in the bottom right corner.
Looking for a fun spring project? Join me for a 4-session online course drawing a raccoon in coloured pencil starting April 1. I will walk you through all the steps from drawing the initial image to bringing it to life in colour. You can register at: www.mcnallyrobinson.com/classes #SciArt
Oh yeah, for sure!
This nice old man instructor looks up like "did you say... the University of *Michigan*? 😠"
🤣🤣
At watercolor class tonight, the instructor had everyone share their name and something interesting about themselves.
Of ALL the interesting things about me, I chose to share that I photograph Michigan football in the fall.
Reader, I forgot the instructor went to Ohio State.
I really miss biking in a city 😭😭
I love this
I get to bring my ebike on the light rail today and do a multimodal commute to my first watercolor class and I'm ridiculously excited for all of these things, but mostly the bike on a train if I'm being honest
Three bird illustrations. The leftmost illustration is an acrylic painting of an Indigo Bunting singing while perched on some plant tufts, with a green background. In the upper right is a pencil illustration of a Redpoll tilting its head while perched on a thick branch. In the bottom right is an ink on scratchboard illustration of an Eastern Towhee singing while perched on a thin branch.
My three most recent bird illustrations—I love using different mediums
Yeah, the longest I managed was 1/3 second exposures after sunset one night. And on this particular morning, they were moving a lot hooting at each other so I was at 1/160s and holding down the shutter 😅
Thank you!
Awww yay! Always exciting to see
Very kind of them to have this shape when there isn't enough light to photograph them as anything other than silhouettes
Two great horned owls silhouetted against the blue hour sky around first light. One is hooting at the other. They are sitting next to each other on the same branch.
great horned owls at dawn 🩶🦉
🥰
Ohhh I love this
Several more than a baker's dozen of turnovers even!
God damn hahahaha
Omg
Morez Johnson Jr standing like a statue behind Dusty May and JJ standing like a statue on my floor
My cat and Morez look the same 😭😭😭
also I am so grateful to be with someone who also wants to wake up at 4:50am on a Wednesday to look for owls 🥰. sorry to be cringe on main @bluebarronphoto.bsky.social
it's incredible how much waking up at 4:50am to go see some owls has made my whole morning better
No owl moon shot today, but I saw them court and then mate and then watched one settle in to roost and turn to face the sun as it came up 😭😭😭😭😭
Thank you so much!
