It was always obvious that the right-wing moral panic around universities had nothing to do with "free speech". It was about delegitimising critical & dissenting intellectual activity, with a view to suppressing it altogether. Far too many liberals were taken in by this transparent, reactionary scam

We have been censored in the US for our research on LGBTQ+ sexual violence.
My co-authors and I are extremely concerned about research and activism being censored and the speed with which organisations have acquiesced to transphobic, homophobic and misogynist demands.
Extremely distressing seeing all US federal agencies being ordered to remove all their LGBTIQ+ content from their web pages. This includes gendered-violence agencies too.
Standing in solidarity with all US-based LGBTIQ+ people, and those working in this space.
