Narrowly avoided accidentally causing a building wide evac... Again. Gas company was pulling from the bottom of the barrel with this boy.
New addition to Lab Safety Plan: Put dangerous shit on a dolly and leave it outside.
Outta sight, outta mind, amirite?

Been a while since I've been on here, but an amusing update on my ebb and flow drainage problems... Turns out, like most problems I've faced in life, the answer lived at the bottom of a dumpster. 24 liberated coffee machine pumps later, things are looking pretty decent (if not fabracobbled together)
I will forever be impressed with the creative places people seem to leave their {vomit, underwear, socks}. I mean like, seriously... How do you puke that high?

Extremely frustrating morning... I've got to build these pseudo-ebb and flow trays for a sweet potato propagation study, and my "zero pressure" solenoids are barely trickling... If only there was money for electric ball valves, and too small for a bell siphon ๐ญ.
For those that don't know: This is a Queen Sweet potato, each colony has one and they are the only sweet potatoes able to reproduce. They are most notable for their sweet potato royal jelly, which allows a worker potato to transform into new queens in times of hardship.
How else will I know what to tell my Doctor I need?
Guess what kids?! We're going to...
Today I'll be working on a fertigation system at the facility where just about *all* the sweet potato cuttings in the US are tissue cultured into existence. It's going to be nice having a day where I don't need to worry about research or grad student wrangling ๐.
