The assaults on gender-affirming care, access, & basic human rights for trans folx need to stop.
Trans folx deserve to be recognized and valued for who they/we are.
And, when we broaden understandings of gender identity, everyone benefits (except those who profit from exclusionary systems).

You like your job and you are good at it. You love your family. But the world is on 🔥🔥🔥. So many day-to-day tasks feel…..
Well, it’s hard to muster the energy to do it.
So here are a couple tips to hopefully help support you when you can barely go through the motions.

Your difference is your special sauce.
The systems want us to feel not good enough, especially if we are women, BIPOC folk, LGBTQ+ folk, or people living with disabilities.
Because if we owned our full magic, the world would change.

Beige background, black text. A peaceful image of a snow-covered field, with a circle of lit candles.
You do not need another degree. Another training.
You need to trust that you are ALREADY enough.
Your worth lies in who you are and how you show up. In being YOU.
Can you trust that stepping into your fullness IS YOUR MAGIC?
Say it loud for those in the back....

A guided meditation to connect to the wisdom of the natural elements
Whew these are unsettling times. We are all holding so much.
This offering is to support you to reconnect to the wisdom and energy of the elements: Water, Air, Fire, Ether, Earth.

This offering by a deeply respected colleague would be great for anyone working with Polyvagal theory or trying to support people experiencing trauma.

As I watch all the amazing mutual aid networks supporting local communities, I am inspired by how they build community & help people show up for each other in meaningful ways.
My favorite, short, video on mutual aid and how it is different than charity--narrated by Dean Spade.

Connection is not neutral, especially in the midst of the polycrisis.
It slows us down enough to notice one another, to connect, to understand one another, to learn how we can show up with and for one another. It reminds us that liberation has always been collective.

Many of us are activated and exhausted by all that is happening.
We want to stay informed, which is good.
But we may be doom scrolling (I know I am).
PAUSE.
Offer yourself or someone else some care.
Reconnect with your inner wisdom and humanity. We need it.

Things are rough out there for many of us.
If you are like those of us in Minneapolis/St. Paul, you may be exhausted, overwhelmed, afraid, angry.
We need to take some moments to reground. Find some micromoments of joy. If joy isn't available, what is pleasant or even neutral?
New Substack Post: Finding Our Role in the Polycrisis to Build a Better World
For those wondering how to get on the path, here are some questions and thoughts.
Salmon background, black text. An image of two people in a forest cupping their hands. One person is handling a seedling to the other.
How do you want to meet the world’s challenges? Who do you want to be?
Our intentions are not just about losing weight. They are about how we ARE, what we root in, what we care about, what we practice. All of that shapes how we show up.

How do you want to BE in your life, leadership, and social justice work? What quality of presence do you want to embody?
This week's Substack explores that wisdom, so we can be more skillful and sustaining in how we show up for what we care about.

I'm always aware of the fraught nature of the Thanksgiving holiday.
May we practice holding multiple, even dissonant perspectives. Wholeness tends to live in the relations between all those perspectives.
Sending deep care and gratitude for you all.

Who are we called to become, beyond what this culture has told us is possible?
As we experience the crumbling of Empire, we are called to world-build, to co-create a more just world.
New Moon wisdom reminds us that before that world emerges, there is deep mystery and the unknown.

While everything feels and is urgent, we can gain some wisdom from the lunar cycles. In Minneapolis where I live, the moon is waning today, reminding us of a different kind of power: the power of release.

Had so much fun presenting this talk on how to be an effective Ally for an LGBTQAI+ ERG.
It was lovely to have an engaging discussion with people who care. We need that these days!

Before the calendar. Before the list. Before being "productive."
We can just BE.
There’s a way of living that starts with wonder, not obligation.
This is about reclaiming the energy of aliveness—& remembering that our days can move at the pace of breath, rhythm, and belonging.

Lately, I’ve been reimagining how I move through time—not by managing it, but by living it.
When I orient toward what nourishes me—toward the enchantment of the natural world, the rhythms of slowness and breath—everything else begins to fall into place.
