Olympians dedicate their lives to being the best of the best, and to NPR (and most mainstream media tbh), these athletes protecting themselves from getting sick is considered “extreme.”
No one, Olympian or not, is “extreme” for taking scientifically proven measures to reduce chances of illness.
I’m not sure that’s how “we caught the guy so confident in his impunity that he brazenly stole evidence and sent pics of nude corpses to colleagues, but it’s definitely not a widespread issue” is gonna work.
It’s just an execution. Five armed and armoured men against one evidently unarmed guy who they’ve already beaten; once again, zero credible way to claim they felt in danger, though of course they’ll do it anyway.

We collect far less data than most OECD countries and we have no way of measuring a lot of stuff we need to measure. Carney knows that an ignorant population is a docile population. He's ensuring we stay ignorant.
