I found my cover artist by recommendation from another author whose covers he does. Recommendations seem the best way, though by public post on here you still get all the rubbish replies. Bsky's been removing them for at least year. Apparently they don't know when to quit.

Yep, words related to 'cover-art' and 'beta-reader' tend to bring out the bots/ ChatGPT replies/ scammers etc. You'll get a few genuine humans among them, but not as many as I'd like.

Today in good news, I finally found the 1/8 settings on my oven that;
a. bakes my bikkies all the way through
b. takes more than 2 mins to go from 'almost done' to 'burnt offering' status.

(And I squeezed in baking & they taste good 😉)
