The research is based on semi-structured interviews with members of both institutions. By examining the concepts of hybridisation and cultural economy, Laukkoski demonstrates that benefits of the collaboration extend beyond financial interests. The article is featured in our latest issue - 55(1)!
In this article, Helena Laukkoski presents a case study of the collaboration between a public museum and a private, profit-driven institution. She argues that the partnership between the Finnish Music Museum Fame and the National Museum of Finland was beneficial for both institutions.
The research is based on autoethnographic work conducted by the two authors during several guided tours of power plants.
