It's curious how often you see references to public confidence in policing having fallen and low level crime being under-policed, with no mention of the role of austerity (which continues in the form of ongoing savings being needed).

As a former #PositiveAction recruitment officer for the #MetropolitanPolice this is a topic close to my heart.
