Torn down by H. D. Ellis in the name of progress
Itโs 32 years to the day since this slick Aston Villa team goal against Sheffield Wednesday.
An incredible 9 outfield players touch the ball here, before the move is finished off by Dwight Yorke.
Poetry in motion.
This week in 1991:
A deadly David Platt hat-trick for Villa vs Spurs.
Lovely to see the great Gordon Cowans spray pinpoint passes all over the pitch.
Cuban cigar of a midfielder, him.

Just wondering what was the best away team you've seen play at Villa Park?
I'm old enough to remember the last time Juventus rocked up at Villa Park & still to this day remain the best away side I've seen us play at home. Names like Zoff,
Scirea, Gentile, Cabrini, Tardelli, Rossi, Platini & Boniek still come to mind quicker than their team now(apart from Dougie)
Was actually there that afternoon, stood near to brolly man. Fantastic photo which I actually use as a screensaver on my pc....
Actually genuinely good to catch up with people with whom I'd thought had disappeared from a certain social media site
