Elvis Perkins - I Aubade

I wouldn't call the experimental Lofi character of Elvis Perkins I Aubade a 'Morgenständchen'. His immersion in deeper layers of sound, the curious use of electronic tones and subtle noise shows the image of a mature, imaginative artist with a vision.

In addition to their common hometown, Liebman and Beirach naturally had a love of jazz. Evidence of this are joint publications in the 70s such as Lookout Farm (1974), Drum Ode (1975) and Forgotten Fantasie (1976).

According to his family, he died after years of fighting mental illness. RIP

As it became known recently, Matt Kwasniewski-Kelvin died on the January 14th. 2026.
