I was trying to find fun in everything, even ROS, but they just started making so much slop... And I don’t want to be one of those “but the canon!” people, but even before Disney a lot of the work of my favorite novel writers in the franchise got thrown in the trash, and it made me very sad.

Star Wars is very close to my heart, and I feel very complicated about that. Seeing a new story told in the verse with such sincerity and thematic intent is what I’ve always wanted from that franchise, and I frankly had given up hope it would ever happen again.
