home invasion in general is just plainly scary. i go through rituals to make sure no one can come into my home. if i hear people in my house (our maintenance guys have keys for every apartment) without my knowledge, i immediately grow silent as a cricket just to make sure they think i'm not there.

i have an irrational fear that someone will come into my apartment while i'm alone and then murder me; considering the fact that i do not go outside and i do not talk to people and i hole up whenever i can, this is highly unlikely to happen.
