Of all of the things I spend a lot of money on, taxes are a fairly small slice of my money worries. It’s the water heater breaking or an emergency plumber call or sudden illness preventing me from working that costs a lot and worries me more. A tax cut is a nothing burger.

A great use of progressive messaging is when we hear how our taxes dollars get spent for our benefit (increased CalTrain service and electrification! New metro station in LA!) not some vague promise of a tax cut that honestly doesn’t feel like much come tax season.

Our gubernatorial primary is a mess part 7483939.

This is not a good proposal on so many levels but one is that paying taxes SHOULD be good and beneficial. She only proposing a cut here, not sharing how we could spend better.
