This is... wow. Nice. But I'm curious, why the "18+" tag?

I never would have thought to suggest that synagogues, mosques, and churches install bollards in front of them but here we are. bsky.app/profile/worl...
The storage and organization part is effectively an entirely separate hobby.
"But based on both his testimony and CBCβs structure as described, Dhanrajβs central complaint appears to be that the CBC hired him to host a news show, but he wanted to do more politics, so there was friction. He didnβt enjoy that, and quit."
Stapled letter-sized collection called Hembeck Strips, featuring a cartoon illustration of Fred Hembeck - naked - on the cover, with various DC super-heroes standing around watching in dismay.
As far as I'm aware, the only time they've been collected in print was as an APA-spawned stapled collection. No idea how many copies were produced, though.
That the network bills it as "CBS Original" is an unintentional joke.
Paraphrasing Coulson from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: "Comics. They're a magical place."
Interesting timing on this, coming one day after voting started for a new federal NDP leader and one month ahead of a trio of federal by-elections. Carney is drawing in floor-crossers from both sides of the aisle. www.ctvnews.ca/politics/art...
Where does Cab Calloway's "Hi De Ho" factor in?

Remember the end of Who Framed Roger Rabbit, with the steam roller slowly grinding Judge Doom under its wheel? Like that, only without the getting-up-again after part.
And any politician who has promoted cryptocurrency as a way of pandering for votes can forget about ever having mine.
I'm looking forward to this - cryptocurrency is such an obvious grift. I hope it will help bring more people around, but I suspect a lot who have "invested" in it will be reluctant to recognize how they're being scammed, especially because they would have to admit to themselves that they were wrong.
Three by three grid (like the Brady Bunch) only with the Muppet Gonzo the Great in the center, with all other squares occupied by Muppet chickens.
Totally gonzo, right?
16 panel comic. P1: Title card P2-thru-5: Mario & Luigi sat at a table in a run down looking room. Luigi is on our left, eating and swallowing a slice of mushroom pizza. Mario is on our right, staring at his phone. P6-thru-8: Luigi waves a slice in Mario's face, saying "this pizza is really good! You want some, Mario?" Mario silently stares at Luigi, only to then close his eyes, and begin to pay his phone on the table. P9&10: Closeup of Mario's hands, laying the phone down, before he steeples his fingers together. P11: Back to previous POV. Mario --a look of annoyance-- says "Luigi. You forgot to pay your half of the rent. AGAIN." P12: Back to the hands, as they spread apart. "Look. I love you. I DO. But you can't keep coasting through life like this, letting others pick up your slack." P13&14: Luigi stares in shocked silence, before breaking down into tears. Mario looks away on disgust. P15&16: a kid sat on a bed, holding a Nintendo Switch. We end on him saying "Jesus Christ"

A still from Disney's animated film Peter Pan with the crocodile lounging in shallow water, looking upwards with a sly smile.
Oh, they know.
I have to disagree on that - I liked Giffen's and Pearson's art runs on the book before Immonen signed on.
Not coincidentally, Earth-go-kaboom was also Keith Giffen's last issue in that run. I still liked all that followed, so full credit to the Bierbaums, but it highlights just how integral Giffen was to those first three years. And all of that Stuart Immonen art up to Zero Hero was stellar, too.
a black card with rounded edges reading in obvious writing (not printed on a machine) "This card entitles the bearer to do 8 bad things." It is signed 'god' and has 8 checkboxes, of which 3 are already checked.
Anyway yeah the other important thing is that if you have a pack of gel pens and some black cards you can just go ahead and make yourself a license to do literally anything :)
It's official :)
No one can stop you :)
A Special Weather Statement has just been issued for a potential Freezing Rain Event Wednesday in the Ottawa area. #ONStorm
It would have been a public service for Pixar to have stuck with Molina's vision, since the "some parents" whose views Pixar wants to court seem to be in urgent need of that therapy. Speaking as someone who watched Bambi, The Rescuers, etc., as a kid without me or my parents having suffered for it.
The bad news is that's not one of Toth's issues of the run (he did #1-5); the good news is that's the Neal Adams issue.
Quark is a sentimental pick from when I was a kid. It also had one of my favorite quotes, "You don't just *do* a plan, you *talk* about it first!!!" I'm pretty sure the context was Quark and Gene being pinned down under fire, with Gene suddenly yelling, "I have a plan!!!" and bolting.
Poster for the series EYES, a crime drama series that aired in early 2005. The poster features actors Tim Daly, Garcelle Beauvais, A.J. Langer, Laura Leighton, Eric Mabius, Rick Worthy, and Natalie Zea.
EYES was a lot of fun. I remember being disappointed when ABC chose to play all kinds of scheduling games, before pulling it completely from the schedule with six episodes in the can but unaired.
*reminds me
This Far Side cartoon shows a family of snakes at the dinner table, with the caption for the child snake saying, "Lucky thing I learned to make peanut butter sandwiches or we woulda starved to death by now." The adjacent Dennis the Menace cartoon shows Dennis and his pal Joey walking past Dennis' mother while eating sandwiches, with the caption for Dennis' dialogue, "Oh, brother!... Not hamsters again!" Beneath the cartoons is text by Gary Larson: The Far Side and Dennis the Menace used to be side by side in the Dayton Daily News. One day, back in August 1981, someone "accidentally" switched their captions. What's most embarrassing about this is how immensely improved both cartoons turned out to be.
This reminds of when Gary Larson wrote about that time the captions for his Far Side strip and Dennis the Menace were "accidentally" swapped, to the detriment of neither.
Somebody made a fake Tess account. I can't find it but please make sure you're checking that its really me in DMs. This is so scary.
a four-panel stick-figure cartoon panel one: three standing figures. from left to right, a guy wearing a necktie looking at his phone, an angry MAGA guy yelling FUCK YOUR FUCKIN POST FUCK YOU FUCK YOU FUCK YOU, and a rando just standing there like an NPC. panel two: the guy looking at his phone shows MAGA guy his hand, causing MAGA to vanish. the word Block hangs in the air where fuckface once was. a green-bordered in-game message appears, reading "+2 Mental Health." now the rando is suddenly interested. panel three: as our man continues doom-scrolling, a sly grin on his face, the rando on the right puts on a punch-me face and snarls: "Typical lefty, blocking everyone who disagrees with-" panel four phone guy shows the hand to punch-me face, causing the rando to vanish. the word Block hangs in the air where that dickhead was. a green-bordered in-game message appears again, reading "+2 Mental Health."
