The last few months have been busy, hectic and manic but I am looking at a gorgeous Saturday, sun shining so maybe things will get better. These last few months have made me reflect, losing someone who stepped in as big brother after the loss of my father as a teenager.

As part of my Doctorate I am looking at the curriculums around the world and how it is taught. Interesting to see the similarities, the differences and the pressures on the systems that we are seeing over and over again. #doctorate #education #international #researchrocks

Over the last year, I’ve reflected deeply on my work, my values, and the people I choose to learn alongside.
Change has started β€” slow, steady, and deliberate. More is coming.
If you’re a teacher, leader, or parent navigating learning with care β€” comment or follow along.
This space grows slowly.

Evening walk with the girls β€” conversations about fairness, kindness, and laughter. Family mirrors classroom learning more often than we think.

Professional growth is rarely linear. My doctorate + curriculum work + other responsibilities sometimes feel like separate worlds… but together, they make me stronger.

Friday gratitude ✨. This week was full, challenging, and joyful β€” teaching, parenting, and leading all intertwined.

Tonight’s swimming session reminded me: determination shines in every lane. Small victories are everywhere.

Curriculum conversations matter most when they connect content to children’s lives. Today I’m thinking about the β€œwhy” behind every lesson.

CPD isn’t just courses or reading. It’s reflection, collaboration, and the courage to evolve. How am I growing this week?

Assessment isn’t just about results β€” it’s a window into learning. Today I’m thinking about how to design tasks that value curiosity as much as correctness.

✨ New week, new rhythm. Today I’m reminding myself: focus on progress, not perfection. Even small steps shape the week ahead.
