Too good away from home now.

Argyle 0-5 Doncaster

Best strike partnership in the league.
And we’ve won at home.

Prepped for the playoff charge

Good win again. We have the most away wins in the league too which is pretty crazy. Just don’t look at the home table…

We went 53 minutes in the middle of the game where our only shot was a Caleb Watts half way line try…

Pepple that was outrageous

Last couple of games he’s had opportunities to go down or make a fuss but hasn’t, then the times he does go down it looks to easy and the ref doesn’t buy it.

Just needs to get smarter at when to play hold up and when to look to win the free kick.

29th Jan.
8 off of play offs, on better form than those above.
This feels like a big few days, Stockport away and the transfer window.

Very reactionary but if we win at Stockport, part of me wants back Cleverley with whatever he needs in the window on Monday for a play off race.

Performance was there for the most part but we faded. They are a solid team but we were better and can feel disappointed.

Always the worry when we don’t get that second goal, today it wasn’t for a lack of trying - Roberts was great, made the awkward ones look easy too.

Take the point, move on

Just relishing being the main striker. Always shown glimpses of this.

Pepple give anyone else Reuben Reid vibes?

Power on the ball, always a nuisance and can hold it up.

Reid struggled for goals initially but once he got going he was phenomenal. Pepple getting into those scoring positions, has 3 goals in 4, hopefully follows a similar trajectory.

Great performance. Maybe the best under Cleverley?

Should have been more but the 3 points are what matters.

It’s definitely the space that is a concern. First 15 mins of Wycombe away Bell got isolated with Edwards and it was painful. Then Dale dropped deeper and it kind of covered it. Anything to cover so Edwards doesn’t try to dive in and win the ball
And leave us exposed as he often does under pressure

17.01.2026 10:15 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

Agreed. They’ve only recently switched to the back 5. Could easily switch back to a 4 and be left with a Β£1m wing back they can’t play anywhere

Agree with the rhs. Need to double up on Lisbie and not let him have a free run at Edwards.
Going to need to hang in this one a bit, but there will be chances on the break. Their defence isn’t blessed with pace and we could look to get Tolaj in behind.

That’s now 18 months ago though and whilst I still believe there’s a player in there, I don’t think we are the team to get that back out of him right now. To get that fee is a great bit of work.

He’s overlooked for the role he played in Championship survival. His goal against Rotherham after Foster got sacked, without which we are fighting from the relegation zone.
He also then dealt with Fatawu after Miller’s injury against Leicester. Proof his defending wasn’t all bad.

Sad to see Mumba move on, he was a big part of our success and we had a lot of great memories.
Goals v Ipswich, Exeter, Huddersfield to name a few.
It hasn’t quite clicked in the last 2 years, but I think he’s become an easy scapegoat, or a victim of his own success.

Wonder why our team packs composure, probably because our manager has zero.

If we lose the season is already over, if we win it’s another win with no Cleverley in the dugout.

So just get rid.

Can at least never question his motivation on the pitch for us. Played wherever the team needed but not where he needed. Even played up front in the early iteration of this current system, the most unrewarding position on the pitch where you do all the running for loose balls but don’t get chances

Comfortable enough win against an injury ridden Burton.

Would’ve liked to have seen us do more in open play but not going to complain now we are a threat from set pieces.

Nothing to get carried away with though. We enter a real test of fixtures post this break.

Looked alright first half but lacked that final third quality.

Bar a 7 minute spell between us making 3 subs and Stevenage making 3 subs that second half was crap.

A draw feels fair, after the goal I thought we’d really kick on yet we had no reaction to their subs.

Onto Monday.

Think Wiredu in for Ralls is a fine replacement, been very good in midfield when asked upon recently.

Oseni got some rest too.

Also must be nearing an Amaechi start.

Tried googling it now, think that is the rule but honestly you never know with these refs

Just the 1, think only violent conduct/serious foul play is a 3 game ban

Need a replay but looked a clear red+pen from the stands.

Goals 2 and 3 shambolic.

Winning streak was fun while it lasted

Argyle unchanged, good stuff.

Going to be a tough one today, not that many so far haven’t been.

Reading wins also coming without the ball, their attack can be clinical.

But a good test for where we are at here.

6 in 6 for Morgan Whittaker.

Starting to play with confidence and looks like 23/24 Morgan. It’s great to see him show his worth at last.
