I will say, while there's also some fantastic performances, a great soundtrack, and the trademark Cronenberg excellent body-horror and VFX, it can feel quite malicious at times, and there's some unfortunate ableism that absolutely should've been cut

Watched The Brood, it's so refreshing to see a horror movie that so blatantly is about the writer-directors trauma, made by someone who actually has a rich inner emotional life and can translate that to the medium of film. So unlike anything by Ari Aster. It's also the good kind of insane
