I truly hope this will be a turning point, that Baroness Harman’s review for the Bar Council (www.barcouncil.org.uk/resource/ind...) will be the beginning of the change we so desperately need to see and I am clear that I will continue to do what I can to help bring that change about…
It should not, and cannot continue to be, those who sadly experience these behaviours that should carry fear, or shame; those feelings should be reserved solely for those who perpetrate them…
Even all of this time on, I would be lying if I said there isn’t still a voice in my head saying “what if you are about to ruin all you’ve worked so hard to achieve”. It was a thought I had at the time and one I’ve still not fully escaped…
