I'm back 🙃 The past several months were pretty bad in many ways, culminating in a diagnosis of an unpleasant (though curable) disease and a surgery. I likely won't be healed until close to May, but I'm regaining mobility, enjoying time with my kids, and even resuming philosophy again.
I don't think anyone who's salivating at the prospect of mass political violence or civil war has the foggiest idea of how bad these things are in real life. It's beyond their memory and their imagination.
I just completed a certificate in wargaming from MORS! I learned a lot about professional & recreational game design this past week; I'm struck by how many spicy opportunities there are for analyzing wargames through an embodied cognition/economics lens. 10/10 recommend.

I think Anscombe was very prescient in calling for a moratorium on ethics until an adequate philosophy of psychology (especially of intention) could be sorted out. Seems very pertinent to this bizarre argument in favour of coercion, too.
