When this happened, there was so much panic behind the scenes that never saw the public eye. Many TOs no longer felt safe running their events, knowing that there was intentional harm done to try and attack the SSC, that does all of its volunteer work to help in keeping the scene safer, and TOs.
i feel very bad for everyone involved. truly unfortunate situation where there are no winners.
truly unfortunate that people are still attacking splat safety for this, especially after not watching the video/reading the doc. the whole situation is very messy, and no one person is right here.
I am not going to post much about the Splat Safety video on events between Gem and Six; I think one reason this became as bad as it did was due to unrelated parties' involvement.
The one thing I'll say is that we need to stop treating these incidents as sports matches with a team you root for.
