There's a difference between feeling unsafe and uncomfortable.
MLAs are not unsafe in Province House. Closing down the second floor to the public is a cowardly move. They did it because some of the MLAs feel uncomfortable with the cuts, and won't admit it.

Wonderful piece. We'll never forget the kindness shown at that devastating time. One thing not mentioned: many people were blinded because they were looking out their windows at the ship on fire in the harbour, not knowing it carried explosives. The windows shattered.
The boycott remains strong in Nova Scotia but the people of Halifax are keeping up the tradition of sending a Christmas tree to Boston.
@meidascanada.ca reporter Lisa Blackburn explains that Boston helped Halifax after the horrific explosion.
