Beyond proud of Brooke Bullington, whose PhD dissertation committee I have been HONORED to serve on, who defended her research on the contraceptive paradox!
When you have published over 45 papers during your graduate work, the sky is your limit!! #reprosky

Data are not political. Clinical guidelines are not political. Healthcare (which is a human right) depends on both.
Restoring access to CDC and NIH datasets and guidance is a public health imperative. ACOG and leading physician groups urge Congress to ensure that CDC, NIH, and public health agencies have the resources and ability to provide physicians and the public with the information they need. bit.ly/4hPJjCR

Thank you!
Thank you!
Thrilled to be selected by President Biden for the PECASE Award!
Thanks to NICHD/NIH for the nomination! I don't really feel as "early career" as I did when nominated 4 years ago, but I am so happy to see recognition of the importance of science (esp in SRH) and our pipeline!

Honored to receive an invitation to serve on an NIH Instituteβs Advisory Council from Secretary Becerra! More importantly, hoping this means that our nation continues to invest in womenβs health and contraceptive research!

There is a large discrepancy between patient and obgyn priorities in seeking or recommending permanent contraception. LARCs are equally efficacious clinically but are not equivalent to permanent contraception for patients!

Thanks! Itβs a palindrome!
Abortion bans do not decrease abortion, lead to worsening maternal health, lead to clinician moral distress, and lead to obgyns leaving communities.
How is this "pro-life"??

Thank you @nationalacademies.org!
It makes NO sense that my NIH funding is from an institute devoted to child health and human development. We are more than our ability to procreate.

Calling gender-affirming care experimentation is blatant disinformation. There is no slippery slope to deregulation, just evidenced-based care that saves lives.
Citing βabortion on demand by adolescentsβ gives away that this is just more moral policing

You know what happens when doctors leave a city/county/state because it is unsustainable to continue to practice there?
People suffer.
Thatβs it.
There is no other outcome.

Confidentiality is important - but public health findings and science must be public.
Especially when the government involved may not wish to be accountable for the findings.
