Happy to share this preprint, we describe how the membrane could shape the ROS nanoenvironment in plant responses to osmotic signals. Led by @arthur-poitout.bsky.social and amazing colleagues @yvonjaillais.bsky.social , @jbfiche.bsky.social , A Meyer, and J Ugalde.

A novel pathosystem between Aeschynomene evenia and Aphanomyces euteiches reveals new immune components in quantitative legume root-rot resistance. Legumes are pivotal for sustainable agriculture, yet their productivity is hindered by soilborne pathogens such as Aphanomyces euteiches . This study introduces Aeschynomene evenia as a novel model to...

Plants have a secret language that scientists are only now starting to decipher Signals from the plant cell wall help to orchestrate growth, reproduction and immune function. Can harnessing this molecular cross talk help in creating better crops?

Scientists long thought the plant cell wall to be dead, but it's an active, even chatty participant in cellular growth, reproduction and responses to infection

The dissertation! 150 pages of prairie, history, & more pawpaws than you'd expect.

I've sold over 850 copies of this baby, and the world being what it is, it's far too expensive to print another edition right now.

Check it out in pdf form:

Plant Adaptation Lab (PAL) – Situated at Institute of Environmental Engineering, EPFL, Switzerland

🌱 Excited to share that I will start my lab at EPFL, CH this June supported by a @snsf.ch Starting Grant! ramakrishna.ch

We are interested in plant mineral nutrition and will deep-dive into the fine-tuned mechanisms employed by plants to adapt to abiotic stresses such as salinity.

Proud to present the first data paper from the lab, published today in @pnas.org.

We describe a new mechanism for CLE peptides as local symbiosis-amplifying signals, promoting plant interactions with beneficial arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi.
