My first thought was maybe it's a patented process? But the patent was issued in the late 70's so can't imagine it's still protected by patent... Unless CoPilot thinks it is?

Have you noticed how your favourite sci-fi shows keep getting abruptly cancelled? And have you also noticed how Doctor Who could have solved every problem the characters in those shows have ever had in 45-50 minutes?

By all accounts it's on the list of known things to do, it's just lower priority than some other things. It's also believed to be quite complex due to device compat needs which also impacts the priority
On a separate tangential note, it frustrates the hell out of me that the BBC News app will only play video in a landscape crop in portrait mode, even if it's a portrait video. It's like watching an animated postage stamp. The old app was SO much better.
