Threads is one of the few art works I can think of that has no interest in catharsis AT ALL. It’s the only ethical way to make an anti-nuke film, because its only objective is to make you dread nuclear war so deeply you’d do anything to prevent it.
Theoretically, ChatGPT can aid your brainstorming in the following fashion:
1. Brainstorm in the traditional fashion.
2. Ask ChatGPT to brainstorm.
3. If anything on your list is also on ChatGPT's list, cross it off.
Of course you can achieve the same thing just by knowing the market.

I have been enthusiastically following Thomas Ha since encountering “Window Boy” in Clarkesworld, a story so haunting I still vividly remember the rainy morning I first read it. Very excited for this.
People will try to shoot down social justice rhetoric saying it smacks of “elite universities” knowing damn well we all learned it for free on the internet.

The phrase “Vancian magic” always trips me up because it describes magical rules, when the actual magic in Dying Earth is so unruly.
“You have to memorize spells before casting them” strikes me as the least salient property of those books. It just incidentally made a good rule for D&D.
If you have a medical emergency they’ll just shoot you, like a horse in an old western.
Authorial intent is never the final word, of course. But I dislike this comic and I don’t think Poe would like it either.
Worth noting that Poe was vocally opposed to the idea of spontaneous inspiration implied by “I love ravens.” He claimed his process was rigidly mathematical and the raven was chosen to be “emblematical of Mournful and Neverending Remembrance.”
I think a lot of it is generational. I first noticed, and complained about, the shift in my 20s. “Dive” became the term to describe local or neighborhood bars. Since then, I surrendered.
“Frankfurt School” gets used that way outside the academy as well, perhaps even more explicitly. Anders Breivik used it in his manifesto, for example. It’s often invoked alongside Cultural Marxism as evidence of how “they” have taken over.

Yeah, SHARPs and RASH are a visible presence in many punk scenes in both US and Europe. It is factually inaccurate to say there are no significant subcultures of anti-racist skins.

It’s way too onerous and punitive to access any social services in US, which is why many go without. I’d rather fix this than go right to UBI.
