The words and actions of America’s leaders show they believe that having dark skin or having a vagina is a reason a person shouldn’t be allowed to pilot a plane, while having a drinking or drug problem is not.
That’s their priority, and they’re fine with the flying public suffering the consequences.

Union members for union busters
Women for making women second class
Nationalists for kissing up to foreign adversaries
Consumers for higher prices
Free marketers for protectionism
Immigrants for mass deportation
Free speech advocates for govt crackdowns on speech

I refuse to go along with the claim that saying voters made choices and bear responsibility for them is the condescending stance, while saying voters don't want what they voluntarily choose is treating them with respect.
The headline should be “In unprecedented move Trump says he will fire the FBI director and replace him with a political loyalist.”
Instead NYT pretends that this is just another “appointment,” like HHS or Ag.
One of the hallmarks of this era is the frequent appointment of people who could not get hired in any capacity to work *for* federal agencies to run them.
