Hello #chemsky, if you were leading an interdisciplinary center and wanted to get #authorship off on the right track, what would be some good topics for discussion between #STEM discipline academics? Is the #CRediT framework (or similar) adequate?

For today's conference sessions, I'm wearing my "fancy" shorts. And I am not at all underdressed.
Fancy = non-elasticized
Went through an entire talk thinking hydrogens are important to ice nucleation on clay surfaces. At the very end realized the speaker wasn't saying "Hs" but "edges."
Need to re-interpret everything she said. Oops.
Too many men at the conference are wearing blue dress shirts. How will i tell them apart? (Face blindness is real.)
Photo of a mountain lake with trees in the foreground and lots of clouds.
At a workshop (ice at the microscale) in Switzerland. My kid is ambivalent about the view, but is offended by the lack of things to do in the hotel room. (Not clear what she expects in that regard.)
They sure do.
Looks like I'll probably be allowed into England after all! It just involves money, a visit to the British consulate in Croatia, and correctly deciphering the instructions on a baffling government form.
Picking my kid up from camp. I'm guessing she had fun since she ran away as soon as she saw me.
Was planning on travelling to England this summer. But as a dual citizen I'm not eligible for their ETA (new visa rules), and there's probably no time to renew my existing passport. So... no England for me? (Wonder how long it takes to renounce citizenship...)
Just replied to an email asking me to do service work - "I'm on sabbatical and unavailable." What a rush of endorphins!
Ha! Well, yeah. It was a saga of ever-worsening decisions, with comfortingly low stakes.
Getting stuck in unlikely places is his new hobby. A few weeks ago, I thought we'd have to drain and move the hot tub to rescue him. (We eventually managed to push him out of the gap he'd wedged himself into with a broom.)
Photo of a shiba inu lying on top of an assortment of gifts (mostly bags and craft supplies).
Anyway. The dog wanted to check out the presents and got stuck.
Photo of a cupcake liner sitting perfectly inside a muffin tin.
Someone suggested i buy a muffin tin. I have a muffin tin. I insisted the cupcake wrappers were too small for the muffin tin. I was wrong.
Photo of lemon cupcakes. They are square. They are in cupcake wrappers, sitting on a plate on a stove.
Photo of vanilla cupcakes. They have spread across the entire baking pan. Their paper wrappers have been consumed by cupcake. No one knows where one ends and another begins.
Kid's birthday party was today. I baked cupcakes. I do not know how to bake cupcakes. Round 1 worked better than round 2, but none looked like cupcakes. (Icing did NOT help.)
Why is Facebook suddenly giving me ads for "mineral-infused panties"? I'm too scared to click...
I don't think i know this one. Google tells me there's a movie called PCU. Is that it?
(My immediate guess was Pug, which is not a movie title but should be.)
This took me way too long.
Absolutely. They should have gone with your title, honestly.

Received a manuscript to review where authors' identities are hidden. I support this practice, but am annoyed because it disrupts my folder-labelling system.

Safety first!
Three men (2 with glasses, all with black hair) stand in a garage, staring in contemplation at computer screens that display science stuff. Photo.
We're getting some garage work done. (Or, at least, that's where we're putting our instruments.)

Just sent someone a photo of my bathroom. For science.
Photo of a dog leaning on a person's had as he (the dog) gets his ear scratched. The dog is on a deck, and much snow is visible in the background. It is sunny.
Would you believe it's shorts weather? It'll go up to 18 C (64 F maybe?) today. Gorgeous!
Dog getting ear scritches just cuz.
My child pours the milk before the cereal. Who raised her??
I promise not to suggest people stop drinking beer!
