Took a few tries, but I finally got electric etching down! Switched to electrical tape as a resist, and then painted the etched part black for contrast.

Yep, it's android. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling as well, but it hasn't changed. To make sure it wasn't the vid, I uploaded it from Bluesky and it worked.

Learning a new skill - electric etching (what's shown is just step 2...not etched yet) I want to make tags for the Star Wars bags to show they are limited edition, high quality, and have my logo on it

Next step: Experiment with electric etching using salt water and a car battery charger

@buildwithtori.com @skylight.social I've run into a weird bug with uploading videos from skylight. When I select a video and it finishes exporting, it sends me back to the login page. I've tried it with videos under 30 seconds and videos just over 60 seconds.

Star Wars week continues for me. I watched EP 4 and 5. Tomorrow is EP 6, then the weekend for 7-9. I'm considering watching the supercut of EP 3 with clone wars scenes added. It looks really awesome.

Rewatched EP 1 and 2, then Revenge of the Sith at the theater. Still awesome, of course. Then, downloaded the Patterson cut of Kenobi. It's a 2.5 hour movie that is a great follow up to ROTS. Sure, it's missing a lot of the extra bits in the show, but the meat of the story is incredibly focused.

Scalpers are literally the scum of the earth

Here I was trying to preorder a switch 2 through retailers, losing against scalpers, and I completely forgot that I already registered with my Nintendo account to get one through the Nintendo store. I just have to wait for the email saying it's my turn to shop. First emails go out May 8 🤞

Silly me, thinking I could preorder a switch 2 when the scalper bots are so much faster. Best buy and Walmart sold out last night in minutes. GameStop crashed in seconds and says the console is unavailable.

I created the pattern, then engraved and laser cut the pieces, hand dyed the leather and then hand stitched

Someone said I needed to make one based on Helldivers, but I wanted to avoid remaking the already popular meme liber-tea, so this is what I came up with #helldivers

After a few tweaks, I finally got the laser to do full wraps with no visible seam. Put this design together based on a lot of Jedi Fallen Order references. #jedifallenorder #starwars #laserengraving

I found I can use watered down leather dye to weather this bright yellow pebble grain to give it that dirty used look. ✂️🧶
