No, it's not a halo. Just the round mirrors at Eddie Doyle's, my hairdresser's. Had fun with tempera sticks, uni-pin fineliner, colour pencils and some brush pens. The quote “repent or perish", was what the woman who was talking to the homeless man had written on her high-vis jacket.

What a privilege it was to be awarded this art residency. With 8 cottages/studios, places are limited. Cill Rialaig will haunt me, and my work, for a very long time.

Experimenting with the idea of the elemental forces - thinking about earth and air, or land and sky and how the two interact when a storm comes along. Expressed with dry brush, splashing, scratching and wet-in-wet watercolour.
At the Hugh Lane Gallery ... and I didn't see a single painting. But I did drop over to the @oc-gallery.bsky.social instead and enjoyed their Winter Show.
I experimented with tempera sticks, Neocolor and continuous line drawing, and had a great time.
