ICE has arrested and detained a Nashville journalist who reported stories critical of ICE. Sheβs married to a U.S. citizen and has been seeking asylum here after fleeing death threats in Colombia because of her journalism there.
Theyβve already sent her to Louisiana.
Matt Walsh's reaction to the Iran war is peak worst person you know just made a great point.
Bluesky has a pretty significant problem with people baselessly accusing others of transphobia, which goes far beyond just normal 'the left eating itself' behavior. We also already learned why blocklists are a bad idea, because we all saw them get weaponized for petty Twitter feuds.
**** you, bombogenesis.
It's all down to mismanagement at the top. Our owners obviously didn't think we could be relegated before the season started. They then did a panic shopping spree at the end of August followed by another splurge in January. Now we have a squad that works but it's too late.
We're playing really, really well right well. At the same time, we are in a tough spot because for five months, we were horrendous. It's an odd position to be in. It's fun to watch us play, but there's still a sense of doom hovering above us.
The amazing thing is that when we had our best chances, we couldn't get a shot off.
Shoot me.

Man's gotta have a code.

Aren't you supposed to be working.
That guy is such a turd.
Yes, I was surprised the filmmakers had such a light touch.
Ohh don't get me started about West Windsor. The wound is fresh.
...My fairly mundane take is while the Fourth Round might be a disappointment, I don't think the Third Round was any better. It's possible the Third Round was more of a bust. I'm genuinely stunned at some of the sites and mechanisms in Third Round plans that were ultimately certified.
...so I don't know how many potentially food projects that are being created through the process. It's particularly tough for me because developers pay us to challenge the most vulnerable plans. Hence, I tend to look at the really bad ones...
Well, tbh, I have no idea. There have been some cases of towns skating by, but then I have come across a bunch of places whose Fourth Round plans contain a lot of sites, where plans have already been approved by the Planning Board...
The outrage over this reminds me of 2022 when trans activists were furious at David Weigel for reporting about Republican plans to run against pro-trans policies. Like, if you're a trans person or activist, then you should know what's coming down the pike, so you can prepare accordingly.
She did not actually say or do anything wrong.
I actually do have a mild take but I'm going to wait for the incredulous reaction upon reading that. π
I was talking to a planner who said that the judges overseeing the settlement phase think the process has been successful in providing for housing.
Besties already
Aw, I could never block you. I haven't been on social media that much, which explains why you haven't seen me post.
Thanks. I posted about 5 months ago.
It's wild to see people call Jerusalem Demsas, someone who has pronouns in her Twitter bio, transphobic.
Well she can though it is hilarious to be name-search only to block out-of-state randos who don't follow her and will probably post about Boston once every couple of years.
