I will say though, this box desperately needs an insert. Right now it's a ton of tiny baggies with the boards put on top.

For me, I like worker placement games where you get lots of small things by going up tracks, and upgrading your actions over time. There's also an exploration element to the mountain tiles on the board

3) Evade the times where most people arrive/leave more, and travel accordingly. I did not enjoy running around trying to get the hyped games before they sold out, it's way too crowded to get anywhere fast. I enjoyed strolling around way more?
1) continued - but there wasn't a lot of media being played out loud.
2) I really wanted I Made You a Mixtape and Adamastor, but they were sold out. I had no budget for another big game, otherwise I would've gotten Recall. I did sell the game to a couple that asked me how the the worked game lol.

1) Because it was so crowded, there was this buzz of thousands of people talking. If you've ever been to a show or anywhere with thousands of people, you'll know the sound. Other than that, it luckily wasn't too bad. Only a couple of stands had video playing,

Spiel 2025 is over! This was my first time there, I had a great time being surrounded by a huge amount of games and hanging out with my partner&friends! Had to adjust to being in a very, very crowded place for a second, but then it was a lot of fun. Pick-ups in the pics!

Started Slay the Spire earlier this week and I'm having a blast! On my first run I made it to the end of Act I, but decided to restart because I got a couple of things wrong. Finished my second run yesterday by getting butchered by the boss of Act III 😬

That makes a lot of sense! I'll have to check that video out (: Honestly, for my personal taste I'm glad there's no map. Tactical turn-based combat in games is very hit or miss for me because I like to have a sense of game flow where I feel like the game keeps moving forward.
I was very curious about how they would do that! Seems like a good fit for the vibe of making decisions in the moment. I would have expected a map/grid for tactical play though.
I love it! The core game is a lot of fun, and after a bunch of plays I'm now starting to eye the campaign booklet. I feel like this is a game that will still feel fresh after a lot of plays, because of the variability in the set-up. But I'll have to get in like 15 more plays before I'm sure 😊
I dug it! This was only my first listen though, so I couldn't really tell you where it lands exactly. I think it's one of the better ones of the last couple of albums, and I enjoy recent CoF anyway. Their earlier stuff like Midian, V Empire and Dusk is hard to top though!
