Not meaning to be bitter and mean, but it really is hard to try and like your parents when they cuss you out because you refuse to disown your principles, and your faith for them…out of the hundreds of things and reasons they gave me for feeling less than fond of them.
This is a reminder for me that I shouldn’t feel too bad about struggling to “like” them enough.
