He always uses the β€œthey said β€˜Sir…’” structure when he’s lying. Any organization reporting this as fact is either complicit or filled with idiots. Or both!

It’s hard to achieve community sacrifices when every policy you put in place is designed to segregate that same community.

Helps bail out Trump from his own idiotic decisions, while reducing gov revenue and will earn no credit from voters in the process. Brilliant.

Pentagon Should Focus on Defense Priorities, not Lavish Dinners, After Historic $93.4B β€œUse-It-or-Lose-It” September Defense officials typically enter the end of each fiscal year with at least one goal in mind: spend the rest of the military’s budget by any means necessary.

Gullible, Cynical America The trouble with believing anything and nothing at the same time

@adamserwer.bsky.social: β€œWe have a data economy that thrives on selling products we don’t need for problems we don’t have, and a public that falls for these ploysβ€”even as we think ourselves much too clever to be fooled.”

There's nothing wrong with formulating hypotheses. It's even better if you go in search of evidence that could support or (critically) refute those hypotheses. But you can't skip the work and jump straight to the conclusion.

After some light spending on digital and phone ads, the AIPAC-linked Chicago Progressive Partnership is going big to air a version of its attack ad against Kat Abughazaleh with $842K in "spending and reservations", per AdImpact. Not seeing anything yet on FCC or FEC, but those could come tonight.

Yesterday the NHS banned all under 18 prescriptions of HRT for trans young people.

This ban was justified by 10 new studies that largely stated NO EVIDENCE for under 18s HRT exists.

The study underpinning this played one particular trick.

Let's briefly look at how the NHS rigged the game 1/5

Procurement, Capacity and Soverignity When your contractors are also your enemy

New, from me: Trump's retribution against Anthropic is over the top. But it should cause Democrats to think about how they will deal with contractors like Musk or Ellison when they return to power.
