Metro Vancouver is building tons of new transit. 2 Skytrain extensions and 3 BRT routes should all be open by 2030, check out the progress of the expansion in my latest video! youtu.be/4bdkZ6XTqsU
Jamie from @transitthinker.bsky.social explores the future of transit systems across Canada, from construction to plans and proposals. Check out the progress of Torontoβs new automated metro the Ontario Line in this new partner video!

Glorious north york centre
Are they testing different seating layouts?

Predictable and preventable problem. The city should act immediately to fix the streetcar network
Not every house is nice, not every condo is nice. Build homes that people actually want to live in!
Check out the progress of the Ontario Line's downtown stations and tunnels in my latest video! youtu.be/1_C4znKlT4k
Thatβs so cool! Montrealβs bike share system is rolling out trailers that work on BIXIs as well as personal bikes.
Theyβre hoping to have 50 by the end of the summer, and hundreds over the next few years.
Toronto garbage trucks do what that bus did. Every week they drive over flex posts
Something about laptops on local transit scares me
Once again regretting taking the TTC instead of cycling to work. Transit should not be 30 min slower and significantly less enjoyable than a bike
transportation services, under pressure of some councillors and their tendencies, just released their recommendation to cut half of the transit priority lanes planned for bathurst and dufferin.
dedicated lanes between bloor & eglinton on both streets are wiped from the plan, kneecapping the project
Urban Toronto is SO great. Super useful for research about city history
Remove transit priority: quick and easy
Install transit priority: years of consultation
Well this is one of the emergency exit buildings...
Cool, but infrastructure can eliminate the risk altogether toronto.citynews.ca/2025/06/24/t...
I would be sympathetic if this wasn't a daily experience in Toronto
Great I just waited 15 min for a bus which outside the station for 15 min and then left without letting anyone on
There's a decent number of cyclists who don't follow the rules. It's usually way less dangerous than a car but still a bit rude at time. No problem with this ad, drivers also need a reminder!
The TTC wasn't like this 6 years ago, it can be great again
Why has the cost of PED's soared $3 billion in just a few years? Half height doors must be significantly cheaper! toronto.citynews.ca/2025/06/16/t...
It's a very nice line, but definitely below it's potential considering the cost and construction length
Every other day on the 512
It's a depressing time in Toronto - a city that once had the continent's most ambitious city-building initiative.
This transformation had 3 KEY PILLARS:
1. RapidTO
2. GO Expansion
3. Ontario Line
Two pillars have been watered down beyond recognition - DEVASTATING for the region. Here's why: 1/π§΅
#4 is a good reminder. 5 years from now, GO would have been European level. There is so much to be improved!
Oh yeah, I think the line could do so much better, only thing I prefer is better reliability
It can be a good way to get from downtown to north york easily, but it's very much a commuter line
The TTC is (and has) done a very poor job retaining choice riders over the last few years
