I don't know how big the squares are, but without too much ripping, you have a good start to a sawtooth border.
I put "blue" in quotes because the colors in between are actually teal, but no matter what light or filter I use,they come off as blue in my photos. Yeah, basically, it was a really nice peaceful weekend. #modernquilting #QUILTSKY
Blocks pieced and ready for assembly. Last weekend's voting was overwhelmingly positive for the "blue" variation. Originally, I wanted to do both light and dark between the blocks. One or the other was great, but the mix was just jarring.

I'm going to try that in the morning. Part of me realizes that this time of the day is not my best. That's why I EPP at night, less thinking, more relaxation.
The light color makes the squares pop, but it kinda bores me. Too straight forward. The blues are definitely more subtle. I think I need to both walk away for a bit and also play with it more.
I'm looking for a discussion about these two color variations for the paths in between these blocks. Both positive and negative. I like to see things through other eyes. Light, or blue, or some of each? Nothing already sewn needs to stay that way. Have at it while I make dinner. #quiltsky

But you could always tweak the patterns inside the triangles a bit and come up with something cool. I don't have a goid design tool for EPP, but if you design it I'd be tempted to sew it!
You've got a good idea there. I would like to see how they look when you say make hexagons out of them. The secondary patterns made could be great, or could look wonky.
