It is so damning of US news media that so many outlets refuse to just straight up say that Senator Tim Sheehy assaulted an activist.
He did not "help" Capitol police. They did not need his help. He wanted to assault the guy and did. He should resign.

But this doesn’t change the fact that we need a complete overhaul of DHS, impartial investigations into the killings of two American citizens, and information on children that were taken from Minnesota.
Balint to Noem: "You're the secretary of DHS -- for now. And you think you're immune from accountability. But I promise you this: one day he is not gonna be president anymore. And when that day comes, we will still be here. And in hearings like this, we are going to continue to prove your guilt."
It’s looking increasingly likely that Kristi Noem and Lewandowski funneled almost 200 million in government money to a company that is run by her friend and that nobody can give an address for.
Oh, and it was 8 days old when it was awarded the contract.
Got it. There's plenty of funding to send troops into harm’s way, but not to take care of their health afterwards. This is shameful.

This is the military-industrial complex Eisenhower warned of — on steroids.
A big part of the authoritarian playbook is war. War takes over the news. War blots out criticism. War divides a nation’s people, subjecting those against it to being called unpatriotic. War grants leaders all sorts of emergency powers. War consumes everything else.
We mustn’t let this war do so.
Every ICE officer who has broken the law should be arrested, tried, and imprisoned for their crimes.
The President has launched our nation and our great military into a war of choice, risking American lives and resources, ignoring American law, and endangering our allies and partners. It does nothing to help with the urgent problems here at home that Americans face every day.
Trump and Republicans are:
-Trying to ram through a bill that would disenfranchise millions of voters
-Considering an EO that would allow Trump to take over elections
-Proposing to station ICE agents at polling places
They’re trying to rig their way to victory. We won’t let them.
The U.S. Senate must be clear: no war with Iran.
In two years all these people clamoring for this war will act like they were always against it, including Donald Trump

Just saying, but when people are trying to do everything they can to prevent you from voting, that’s when you absolutely need to vote.

Someone has sure already made this observation but the fact they can convert all those empty warehouses into prison camps means they could have converted them into housing, community centers, job training centers or, hell, libraries or schools all along. It’s always a matter of will not resources.

It's a stain on our nation that this has effectively been forgotten.
The concentration of wealth in the hands of an elite few isn't just bad for our economy. It's corrosive to our democracy.
When the wealthy and well-connected control our political system, the American people don't have a voice.
The result is demagoguery and corruption.
