Lubitsch vibes are off the chain on this one…
Who invented toast?
Big fan of this STARSHIP TROOPERS OVA.
Oh to capture the vibes of this.
In the London Disney Store.. seeing a distinct lack of SONG OF THE SOUTH merch.
(This joke is brought to you by: definitely said before)
Film day 2 of 3…
Incursion? Battleworld?
Here’s the post-credits scene from #CaptainAmericaBraveNewWorld.
Not bad for £3
Watched ALWAYS… one of the few Spielbergo’s I haven’t seen.
Not nearly as bad as I was told, but not particularly good either.
Cast was weirdly stacked though.
I’ve hit my Gothic Romance phase…

Buster Keaton in ‘His Wedding Night’ (1917)
One of my favourite film writers is on BlueSky!
Hello @lililabens.bsky.social!
Lowkey the most supportive subreddit is r/dvdcollection.
Combating these ‘be harsh’ criticism posts with genuine support and constructive advice.
Despite not living in London, every single time I visit I make sure to make the pilgrimage.
Which is exactly what this place is. A place of worship to cinema, to Honor the art form and to show our love to the movies.

The question of which movie I wish I made?
TETSUO: THE IRON MAN.
Shinya Tsukamoto made something so creatively rich, sci-fi is still indebted to it 30+ years later.

This stack of ‘Runaways’ comics has gone from £95 to £65 to yesterday’s price of £40..
Some charity shops need a bit of a reality check.
God bless @thehorrormaster.bsky.social.
Watched THE TRUTH ABOUT CHARLIE. You can’t just put Marky Mark in a beret and just expect him to fit into a film set in Paris.
It’s like trying to hide a T-Rex at a children’s playground.
Someone’s gonna have a bad time.
(In this case, me, the viewer had a bad time)
Up there with the train sequence in THE LONE RANGER, and the Battle of Chicago in TRANSFORMERS: DARK OF THE MOON.
Verbinski, Bay and Ritchie all have stylised action. And when they get the free rein to do it, we should really be thankful.
SHERLOCK HOLMES: A GAME OF SHADOWS is okay, is fun, light, and pretty entertaining.
However, this sequence is perhaps one of the best action scenes I have seen in an age. And noone talks about it..

Baffling.
At no point have I showed doing any of these things.
Any ideas @bsky.app? Can I report these lists? Especially the last one???
