I've got a long drive ahead of me for work today. What are some of your favorite sunny day, windows down, road trip albums?

If you know someone in the Philly region who you think should be profiled, please feel free to nominate them here or via email to me at sfarr@inquirer.com

This 86-year-old Philly baker still rises to the occasion five days a week George Wright found his first baking job in Philly through a want ad in The Inquirer. Now, the paper is telling the story of his 70-year kosher baking career.

Meet George Wright, 86, who's been a kosher baker for 70 years and has no plans of leavening anytime soon.

He's the latest installment in my occasional, ongoing profile series called We the People, about the people who make Philly extraordinary.

Even Philly’s crosswalks have hoagiemouth. We found out why for youse. β€œIt feels like one of those many only-in-Philly things, of course even our crosswalks have a thick Philly accent.”

ICYMI over the weekend, I looked into why some of Philadelphia's Audible Pedestrian Signal systems at city crosswalks come wit the Philly accent.

I didn't know it when I went to interview him, but George Wright found his first baking job in Philly through a want ad in The Inquirer.

Now, I get to tell the story of his 70-year kosher baking career in the Inquirer.

In my latest column, I dig into why Philadelphia's crosswalk audio announcements come wit the Philly accent.

β€œThere’s not been a single person I’ve talked to that’s like β€˜Oh yeah, that makes complete sense,’” said the reader who tipped me off.

Doing my first big LEGO build and I f’ed up and had to tear stuff up in order to rebuild.

I was frustrated and in the depths of my rage my husband, a huge LEGO fan, said: β€œSee there are more lessons here than just LEGOs.”

He may not be wrong but he may also get a brick in the face.

This view and staircase never gets old. I think it even rivals looking down the staircase at City Hall.

What are some other fantastic staircases in Philly?

I am flushed with pride that somebody featured in one of my Philly Phlush stories bought a high-quality print of the story from our website, got a nice frame for it, and hung it in their bathroom.

Folks, urine in luck because I will be taking all of your puns about this today. Pees and thank you.

Feeling cute, might use 'mellifluous' in a column like I'm an academic or romance novelist.

Husband: β€œThat is not a crosswalk button. It is a googly eye.”

Well played, Philly. Well played.

30 miniature horses are for sale in Gettysburg this weekend. Here’s what’s involved in owning one. Everything at Land of Little Horses animal theme park must go as the 55-year-old park closes.

NOOOoooOO and neeEIGHghhh!!! The Land of Little Horses has closed! It was one of the weirdest and most magical places in all of PA, totally homespun and filled with miniature animals of all sorts. 1/2

Not in cages, but there was a young woman dancing on the end of the bar in a cute little outfit that looked straight out of Austin Powers.

Stopped into The Trestle Inn for the first time in years after a show an Underground Arts last week. I feel like I will never be cool enough for this bar, but I always feel cool when I’m in it.

What other Philly bars have similar vibes?
