He's right, you know. Back in the day, only Hawkie was permitted the best hair in ALP leadership!
Photo of the windows next to my desk of the a framed Kudelka rusted on bingo tea towel and print of his Tassie devil.
Jon Kudelka was not just the creator of the best tea towel in Australian history, and a great cartoonist and artists, but he was a superb friend, incredible husband and dad.
Goddamn I will miss him
Apparently this was in the Epstein filesβ¦
Destroying the economy on purpose perchance?
Jeffrey Epstein emailing Peter Thiel: Finding things on their way to collapse was much easier than finding the next bargain. ... Return to tribalism. Counter to globalization. Amazing new alliances.
Definitely seems like they destroyed the country on purpose.
Just a friendly reminder that any white person in Australia unhappy with the demographic mix here is more than welcome to fuck off back to the land of their ancestors on the literal other side of the world.
Epsteinβs economic power among academics was made possible by a capitalist system that makes higher education dependent on the charity economy rather than a public good supported by taxing the rich

It sounds like so much fun (and bloody hard work) - I reckon you could have a whole business teaching others to do this too.
Canβt wait to see the finished product!
The wildflowers at Hattah-Kulkyne National Park were stunning - especially the massive carpets of these. Now, I don't know much about plants, but I believe these are a native plant called pig face. There were lots!
I feel like this photo of masked, armed men pepper spraying a pastor protecting his community is going to be a defining picture of this moment in America for a long, long time.

Sounds like a recipe I should follow. ππΌ
Thanks to @fionakatauskas.bsky.social for recommending Pernille on Netflix. Such a good show. And because itβs in Norwegian I have to give it my full attention to read the subtitles. I canβt doomscroll and listen. Such good therapy.

Kid is bang on.
And heβll have survivalist prepper mates ready to offer support in time.
Itβs an impromptu season of Alone Australia with only one contestant.
Kid: βheβll have crossed half a dozen creeks and be holed up in any one of a million caves on Mt Buffalo out of sight of the helicopter with heat seeking radar, with 3 months worth of prepper supplies already stored, and the rain will have washed his scent off the trailβ
Yup, probably

Worth remembering that Terence Stamp was the son of a ship's stoker.
Stamp desperately wanted to act, after falling in love with movies as a kid, and it was a scholarship to Drama School that allowed him to walk that path.
Every time arts cuts are made, they rob us of more Terence Stamps.
I have brought myself a stash of old woollen blankets for the apocalypse.
Weβre not quite at apocalypse point but Iβm enjoying the snug weight of them on the very cold nights - and the absence of plastic fibres.
