Got to do a really fun illustration suite for a project. My love of fountain pens runs *deep* so this was particularly sweet.

Yooooo so good!
Disappearing acts as an m.o. lately, oops.
Made it to dawn a while back, quick digital color study trying to wrap my head around how this could translate into paint. Shapes, shadows, and very delicate luminations.
Otherwise, wrapping up two complex paintings I hope to share soon.

I have my work intermixed with my friends' work and antique paintings all over my house. Without fail, my visitors always pick out my friend's work as their fav and ask of it's mine. Which makes me both intensely proud of my artists friends and humbled as hell at my visitor's tastes, haha.
Go easy on yourself! Those can tire you out immensely.
Just recently found out about this artist, can't get enough of his work.
Ho! ๐
Truly gorgeous
The ebb and flow can be tough, I hope you find a way to let it take you where it needs. Rest is part of the process.
as always, SO GOOD

Haha they super are. You rock up to them and it's like ๐ณ๐ณ๐ณ
A photo of a painting installed on a sculptural display surrounded by freshly planted greenery. The painting is of two coral trees in front of a bay.
A photo of a painting installed on a sculptural display surrounded by freshly planted greenery. The painting is of mountains blazing orang-y red in the sunset with a cool, blue lake before it.
A photo of a painting installed on a sculptural display. The painting is of mountains lit purple surrounded by all types of native shrubs and grasses, the sun golden on the horizon.
It's real!! My art is living its best life in the California sunshine.
This is melting my mind more than a little bit. The installation is so, so *gorgeous*

(Note on impressionism: that and the invention of paint tubes)
and the industrial revolution sparked the Arts & Crafts movement. Traditional arts are still here even with those big technology shifts - both of those eras of art highly lauded, collected, and taught about.
What an odd take - I hate this thing, but I want credit for being good at it by using a third-party tool to do the work for me. Also, as an art history nerd, to the person who commented about the invention of the camera - art / painting isn't dead because of it, in fact, it catalyzed impressionism,
Oooo oh no! Hope you heal up quickly!
I do on my page :)
You always land on the perfect combo.
Balboa?
So glad you do!!
It's the truth! & I couldn't pick, I like passages of each / I'm still stuck in hypercritical mode with them hah
absolutely flawless colors, this is so so good
Thank you! & it's funny, I absolutely had a moment where I thought of you and was like - I need this woman to teach me her ways with mountains. So outside my wheel house.
Always interesting to see who likes what most, this was the project manager's fav too, now hangs on his wall.
