I was in a 2 hour briefing today on the Iran War. All the briefings are closed, because Trump can't defend this war in public.

I obviously can't disclose classified info, but you deserve to know how incoherent and incomplete these war plans are.

1/ Here's what I can share:

Really looking forward to Australia and New Zealand. Being there. The shows as well. But being there.

Tickets here:

The shows will be good. Promise.

He's also, I think, been some way off his level for a while now. The bigger concern is that Mama is now coming in without any rhythm whatsoever (and raises the question again around why he didn't get the cup game).

Haha right! This is what I get for believing people who speak with a sense of confidence on podcasts!

Trey Nyoni signs new long-term contract with Liverpool FC - Liverpool FC Trey Nyoni has signed a new long-term contract with Liverpool FC.

Actually, it's nonsense. Looks like 2030 it runs to...

Heard someone mention that Nyoni's contract is up in the summer, which surprised me. Will be interesting what happens there.

I keep telling my kids this. Neither are the fastest in their age groups, and they've convinced themselves that it means they can't compete against faster opponents. As you say; The ball moves faster than any of them, so learn to use it, and each other.

Yep. It's very rarely referenced when he's being assessed either. He's 1.5 years younger than Jones.

Delighted to see this. More (Ibou, Dom, Curtis) to Follow, hopefully #LFC

Since the Champions League began in September, Liverpool have as many wins in 13 games in cup/European competitions as they do in 25 Premier League matches (10 in each). #LFC

Still staggered he slotted that goal, though. There's probably one player in our squad I'd fancy less in a moment like that, and that's Gomez. And that's also debatable. Lovely strike, though. Delighted for him. Such a class act.

Rio Ngumoha made eight progressive carries tonight.

That's more than Salah (six) and Gakpo (seven) have made against Wolves in two matches this week.

I am begging, absolutely begging, people who follow this absolute charlatan to read this piece & unfollow him. For #LFC supporters, his behaviour in the aftermath of Diogo Jota’s death, and the way that he *appeared* to be trying to monetise it, should’ve been reason enough to stick him in the bin.

Very good

War makes certain people rich. Paying for the masses does not. Ultimately.

And of course, the narrative from him almost seems to at times overlook that he is literally in a position to influence these points. They are very much within his sphere of influence to do so. It is odd.

I will admit, the multiple references to us not playing as he would like (e.g. he isn't asking us to start games slowly) is baffling, given we're at the end of a season in which these things have been happening week after week. So, is he lying, or being ignored? Neither is a good look, really.

05.03.2026 14:01 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

He literally can't. He's a fucking moron, among many other things.

It's things like this that make you realise that, in spite of the staggering technological, scientific and medicinal advancements, as a race, we really haven't progressed much at all.

05.03.2026 00:54 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

Are those quotes from Hegseth about Biblical end times actually real? I assumed that it *had* to be made up, because it's that fucking insane.

04.03.2026 23:31 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

Agreed. As a personality and how he carries himself is way more Slot than Klopp as well.

I know Sean Rogers has been referencing the warm ups not being fit for purpose on TAW recently.

04.03.2026 21:35 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

I don't disagree on the performance point. On the squad point; how much of, say, not adding a Diaz replacement and/or a CB/RB in January was on Slot? I may be wrong, but I don't think those decisions are his call, and they've had a material impact on the season.

04.03.2026 21:34 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

I like this guy.

Unlike most, it seems, I have some reservations about Alonso (and I'm really not sold on the romantic angle for a player who was pretty dead eyed when it came to his career journey). The real question is where Hughes/Edwards stand on it all.

04.03.2026 14:01 πŸ‘ 5 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 2 πŸ“Œ 0

And that's subtly different to 'is he good enough', or 'does he deserve another season'. If there is another candidate who we believe is an improvement, then we should move for them. That should be the approach for every single position at the club, not only the manager.

04.03.2026 14:01 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

Could I see him staying beyond the summer? Yes. Could I see us doing well again under him, if/when we add desperately needed pace and quality to the wings? Also yes. I think for me it ultimately comes down to whether you think he remains the best man for the job.

04.03.2026 14:01 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 2 πŸ“Œ 0

I agree with you that the use of the squad we do have has been baffling, at best. As have the tactics at times (inverted full backs again last night). But this is a man who won the league at a bit of a canter. And actually, did arrest the real slide a couple of months back. I honestly don't know.

04.03.2026 14:01 πŸ‘ 2 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

I find it hard to pin down a position on it given the pile of context in and around it all. Be that Jota, the transfer 'strategy' (it's unclear how much say he has), key injuries, decline of key players. I think Slot has had a poor season, but how much of *points at league table* this, is on him?
