Rewatching They Live unfortunately this film is way more relevant today than it was in the 80s

100 is really impressive well done. I really enjoyed The Others when I watched it years ago, does it hold up?

Surely subscription model and advertising is the way to go. Yes the licence makes up 60% of the BBC funding, however a subscription model or advertising could generate more. They would also save money not having to chase people and take them to court.

Yeah if you don't already use steam, you probably aren't going to buy the machine. I have stuff on a steam library but my laptop is not great for gaming, and I definitely don't have the budget for a high end PC, so this looked like it would solve a problem for me.

So this is my current system for managing productions and what I am developing. Obviously, I haven't included the project titles in this image. Just wandering what other people's methods are. #Production #Filmaking #Pre-production

The western worlds lurch towards fascism is terrifying. Where is the push back, why has this Government not been impeached, there is so much evidence. The UK is also a bad propping up this inept pensioner and allowing him to use uk military bases for another proxy war in the middle east.

The appeal of this machine was that it was PC spec and console price. Obviously, the RAM shortage has affected this, but is Valve going to wear a loss on each unit sold or is the price going to be above the 500 price point?

Im honestly disgusted. I voted for Labour in the last General Election they are Labour in name only. The Labour Party has lost its heart and identity.

the only way I could support the looking into citizens bank accounts is if it goes both ways.

also, a simple vpn will bypass the region lock. So it really is for nothing. I am in no way a libertarian but both of these laws feel like huge government overstep and invasion of privacy

Im highly sceptical of these laws bought it by the government first the looking into bank accounts to apparently prevent fraud, and this new porn verification law requiring photo id and bank account, this feels very authoritarian and a step towards a surveillance state.

Definitely. I think Reform have somehow spun they aren't the establishment. When they clearly are. Fun fact Farage ran in my hometown and lost to a guy dressed as a dolphin. We viewed him as a joke, now he is becoming dangerous

The Third Wave experiment by Ron Jones in 1967 explains how the rise of a party like Reform can happen. It shows how easy it is for people to fall into facist ideology. It's a very interesting read.

Seeing the number of identical replies and posts on various social media platforms that are pro reform, I am fully convinced by the dead Internet theory.

I am genuinely still confused about how people can look at Farage and Reform and not see the surface level populism with no real budget or plan.

Keir's continued marched to right is not attracting right-wing voters, but it is alienating the traditional Labour voters. I myself in the council elections voted Green for the first time as I can not support a party that implements these policies, and the leader quotes the rivers of blood speech.

Honestly, with all labour are doing in the uk to so many communities, I can no longer support them as a party. This does not feel like a Labour government at all.

Next Sunday, a very small element of a larger plan takes it first steps, and I can not wait.
Finally, returning to creating stuff, it's been a long road back after university. Dealing with self-doubt and allowing nah sayers to dictate what I created.

The narrative from major companies like Take 2 Interactive and Ubisoft that people should pay more based on length of development or get used to not owning our games.
Gaming and film have really been hit by 'business people' running the show. They can't create, so they don't.

If GTA 6 is priced at £100 or $100 on release, I feel it will cause a shift in the pricing of games and could cause massive repercussions for consumers. A lot of studio have been shut because larger companies chase the cheap fix and trend chase in pursuit of profit.

Just spent 45 minutes of my life trying cancel my Apple Tv subscription. Tried it on the tv no luck, tried it on my phone not luck. Eventually had to use the web browser. The process is an absolute pain and really tedious to go through. Streamline your processes @appletves.bsky.social

The who 1st and now 2nd Trump presidency feels like a satire that would of been deemed to unrealistic and far fetched and would be mentioned as an infamous bomb in a writing class.

There needs to be more accessible funding at the grass roots level. The erasure of minority and working class voices is evidence of this. Also the forms need to be far more simple and detail exactly what funding organisations want. I write this as some one who has battled funding forms.

Arts funding is such a bizarre complex thing. I get that organisations want to see evidence of work before funding a project, but a lot of companies can not afford to do much of anything with out funding. Those start up companies cant afford the debt of creating a show.
