Well sunset in Lerwick (which sadly is part of the UK) will be 16:31. Idiot.
Vote SNP at the Scottish Election on Thursday 7th May 2026.
So fewer than 10% of the UK population are flag shaggers. Reassuring.
Pathetic. I shall continue to ride both ways along Rose St, as I've done my entire life without any issue
We're only just alive again... This week we played the venue we dreamed of playing when we set out with Kneecap. Dublin's 3 Arena. Not once, but twice. 28,000 across 2 nights. 🔥 Tuesday and Wednesday were very special to us. They were also the last gigs of 2025. In a year where the full weight of the global Zionist lobby and the British state tried to kill us...and failed. You may kill the revolutionary but never the revolution.
Huge crowds watching Kneecap live

Depressing that we're governed by donkeys but equally, I presume everyone will just continue to ride both ways down rose st like we've been doing forever, without any issues
Health pledges top the list of Britons’ New Year’s resolutions for 2026
Cycling and walking could help deliver almost everything Brits say they want to achieve in 2026 — if we design streets to support them.
Getting fitter, losing weight, being healthier, saving money; enabling active travel quietly does all of it. With no gym contracts.
"Rights Group". Are you for real? They are a bigoted, transphobic hate group.
🏴 SCOTLAND, WE ARE GOING TO THE WORLD CUP! #BelieveinScotland
Incorrect use of the word shocking
It isn't though. You've been taken in by a far right narrative
A study by the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) shows that estimates about the damage done by Brexit have underestimated its impact over the course of a decade. Data now suggests that Brexit has reduced UK GDP by 6%–8%, reduced investment 12%–18%, and reduced productivity by 3%–4%.

The best one
I'll laugh my head off at the irony if the far right bring down the bbc and I'll laugh in the faces of brits who blindly trust it
That's not what a mistake is. They did it intentionally. And yes, agreed, he did cite an insurrection so why did they feel the need/think they could get away with such crude, shoddy, blatant YouTube level editing. It's junk. Either there are editorial standards or there aren't.
For those apologising for the BBC, you can't defend their actions just because Trump is loathsome. Their doctoring of his speech was egregious (look at the side by side footage, it's bad), you'd be outraged if they did that to Polanski. BBC have form for this e.g. Orgreave, Scottish Indyref etc
Road tax is an insidious term designed to perpetrate the idea that only drivists pay for the roads and leads on to abuse to other road users so yes it is deeply problematic
Road tax was abolished in the 1930s. What you might be referring to is vehicle excise duty. All of us pay for the roads through council tax and general taxation. Regardless of whether we own a vehicle OR NOT
What's Road Tax?
So the UN does not support its own principle of self determination. Sad.
Unserious journalism. There is no ceasefire.
100%. It's so depressing that the snp is so timid on this
Green poster with outlined maps of Scotland, England, Wales and Ireland. Headline: “Break up of the UK nears.” Subhead: “Let’s build better, fairer, independent nations.” Believe in Scotland logo.
👀 Desire for the break up of the UK continues to grow! The Plaid Cymru result in Caerphilly, Wales, this week is just the latest example.

Ha bit of a stretch. He gives up a title and remains in a life of absolute privilege
Lol
Scotland's languages have historically faced subjugation, and today still face discrimination and nasty rhetoric.
I'm very proud that The National puts Gaelic front and centre in today's splash, thanks to a gorgeous illustration by Caitlin Ferguson, as the Mòd kicks off.
