Journal news: 80% of the editorial board of Communications in Algebra has resigned. The resignation letter cites Taylor & Francis' dismissal of managing editor Scott Chapman and their recent top down approach to running journals. (E.g. implementing a 2 reviewer system without consulting the board.)

How fitting is it that Mark DeRosa didnβt know the USA could still be eliminated and let them party after beating Mexico. Thereby aiding in loss to Italy which could get them eliminated.

Hey all can we keep in mind that the people who are having to be in harm's way in places like Iran and Iraq because they signed up to serve their country don't deserve any of this and can we remember that when we're replying to news about them getting bombed? Let's not lose our humanity in all this.

U.S. Plan to Unblock Strait of Hormuz Collides With Realities of Global Insurance
The U.S.-centric insurance idea runs counter to the realities of an international market, according to industry executives.
"U.S. officials called London insurers and brokers, trying to figure out how the market operates, industry insiders said."
When applied to the current administration, I urge caution in using terms like "plans," "strategy," "policy," or "doctrine."

Jim Keltner and John Lennon in 1974
Keltner also performed at the Garden in 1972 for John Lennon's "One To One" benefit for the Willowbrook State School.
In 1968, Jim Keltner was also working in a music shop in Pasadena just down the street from the old Ice House coffeehouse when he was recruited to play drums in a "psychedelic" vocal group named "MC Squared" along with Michael Crowley, Michael Clough, Linda Careyβall from the folk group The Back Porch Majorityβand session guitarist/bassist Randy Cierley Sterling.
They were signed by Mo Ostin and recorded an album for Warner/Reprise originally titled "MC Squared" which has later been re-mastered and re-released in 2012 with the album title 'Tantalizing Colors.'
They appeared live that same year on the Hugh Hefner / Playboy Magazine television show "Playboy After Dark," playing two songs: an original by MC Squared members Michael Clough and Michael Crowley titled "I Know You" and a version of the Fred Neil song "Everybody's Talkin'." Both "Playboy After Dark" performances with Keltner playing drums can currently be viewed on YouTube.
Happy Birthday to drummer Jim Keltner, born April 27, 1942, in Tulsa, OK (he grew up in Pasadena, CA)! Keltner is best known for his session work, especially w/ George Harrison & John Lennon (including solo albums, releases by the Plastic Ono Band and Yoko Ono), and Ringo Starr, among hundreds more.

WORD FACT
βScamperβ ultimately comes from Latin βex campoβ β literally, βleave the field (of battle, for instance)β. βCampoβ as βfieldβ also gives us the modern English word βcampusβ.
So, we could say that to scamper is to βleave campusβ.
