Been busy and not found time for social media for a while. Worth sharing today’s walk though. 9 miles and saw spotted flycatcher, heard a goshawk, saw a firecrest and then at the end of the walk spotted this beauty. #cornwall #birding #ottering

It’s another efficiency drive. Historically your kids are killed a few years later in school shootings or by measles.
Me when I accidentally picked the indica at 10:13 am.
Took 7 year old to the park. Played IRAH- Gunfinger (salute) on the way. He said “we can enjoy music but don’t need to be the loudest car”.
I now know which of us has the most mature outlook 😔
(We both bugged out to the baseline 🙌)
Left looks rather perfect….perhaps…..too perfect 🤔
Other than sexual assault, Trump has literally nothing to do with the Catholic Church. 😬
Pink thrift flowers in full bloom on a grassy clifftop, overlooking a sparkling blue sea and rugged coastal cliffs under a bright, sunny sky.
Rocky cliffs covered in lush green grass overlooking the turquoise sea, with large sea stacks rising from the crashing waves under a bright sky dotted with soft clouds.
Dramatic rocky cliffs with green grassy tops jutting into the sea, waves crashing below and a winding coastal path visible along the clifftop.
Powerful waves crashing against rocky outcrops, with a grassy foreground and the endless ocean stretching out under a bright but slightly hazy sky.
Lazy morning, late lunch, and a walk along the Atlantic coast. Big swell but warm sun and a gentle breeze. Perfect Sunday stuff #cornwall
Cuckoo: A slate-grey cuckoo stands low on a grassy patch, its yellow eye alert and a green caterpillar dangling from its slightly open bill. The bird’s pale, finely barred underparts contrast with the short green grass.
Common Redstart: A male common redstart sits among lichen-covered branches, its slate-grey head and back set off by a bright orange chest and belly. A bold white forehead patch stands out against the dark face, with fresh green leaf buds around it.
Tree Pipit: A small, slender tree pipit perches on the tip of a bare twig against a clear blue sky. Its brown-streaked upperparts and pale underbelly are visible as it raises its beak in song, tail pointing down and delicate feet gripping the branch.
Lesser Spotted Woodpecker (blurred): A small lesser spotted woodpecker is perched on a gnarled bare branch, but the image is out of focus. You can just make out its compact shape and faint black-and-white barring against an overcast sky.
Some great birds about over the Easter weekend. Cuckoo, Redstart, Tree Pippit, and I promise that’s a Lesser Spotted Woodpecker 😆 #ukbirds #uknature 🪶
That’s not a good sign 😬
Worst things you have seen at festivals: Coachella VS the UK Coachella: Spitting on the ground UK Festival: A Man covered in his Own Shit Sniffing Ketamine off his mates unwashed Scrotum.
When I see #Coachella trending I always think of this.
If my wife wasn’t already banned from the States, we would be actively boycotting any visits. To be fair, I would also boycott N. Korea, China, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Russia, Myanmar, Belarus, Turkmenistan, Eritrea, Afghanistan, Sudan, Yemen, Egypt, UAE, Vietnam, Turkey, Israel.
A small, colourful ceramic figurine of an elderly person with a long white beard sits on a moss-covered tree trunk in a woodland setting. The figure is dressed in a patterned robe with red, pink, and blue tones and appears to be holding a book or scroll. Surrounding the statue are twisted branches, ivy, and lush green moss
Met an ancient wise man in the woods.
He said, “The Way (道) teaches balance — between man and nature, rich and poor, desire and contentment. Capitalism knows not balance, only growth. And growth without end is not the cycle of life, but the beginning of decay.”
…which seemed reasonable to me🤔
A tall, solitary pine tree stands in the middle of a green field under a clear blue sky. The tree has a long, straight trunk with a wide, rounded canopy of dark green needles at the top. In the background, there are rolling hills, hedgerows, and a mix of leafless and evergreen trees.
Well this is a mighty fine, if rather solitary tree. So majestic it was worth sharing.
You know there’s a bad side to him too right? 😉
I’ve now got ‘Whip It’ by Devo stuck in my head.
Biggest commitment to a 3 second joke I've ever seen
Yay! Sounds like a well looked after beetle 🪲
I have a knack for being wrong about these things 🤷🏻♂️
I’m certainly no beetle expert but from my beetle book, that looks more like an Oil Beetle.
It’s honestly so confusing now what’s meant to go in which bin, and the different colours from each council, easy to see how this mistake was made.

If it helps, I’ll share my awful story. Once, as a student radiographer I was helping with a paediatric fracture clinic. I went for a break and came back to find my colleague taking an X-ray of a child’s arm. The patient was sat with his back to me. He was being incredibly brave with what was clearly an incredibly painful elbow injury. I didn’t want to make him turn and spoil the X-ray so I kept quiet. I thought I’d surprise him so while I was waiting I opened the hospital’s ’child distraction box’, but on a funny wig and finger puppets on each hand. As soon as the Xray was complete, I tapped on the glass screen and started to dance. I started to wave the finger puppets. The chap turned around and looked at me. He had a beard. He was a late-40s guy with dwarfism. Hr slowly shock his head while holding my gaze. It has been 20 years and I still haven’t managed to completely un-cringe myself.
Alt story…
Fellow UK citizens, at long last we will be in a position to be wished “Have a nice day” and then quietly mutter amongst ourselves about the state of American teeth. 🦷✊
The NATIONAL SECURITY ADVISER added the EDITOR OF THE ATLANTIC to a PRINCIPALS COMMITTEE TEXT CHAIN set up for the DEFENSE SECRETARY about PLANNED MILITARY STRIKES.
Here's a thread of involved parties talking about the need for secure communications (when Dems are involved):
