Though I’ve never been to Trader Vic’s, I’m blaming the goo

Whoa I didn’t know that! Then why can I happily eat buttercream frosting but hot buttered rum makes me sick? Selective stomach?

The point of the story? I really want a literal slice of cake right now.

I’m an over-writer. Mountains of buttercream because it’s fun. But I’m working on something that requires the prose to be very spare and it’s a drag. So what did I do? Over wrote the way I wanted and now I’m stripping it down and the cake is dense but I still want to sink my teeth into buttercream.
